No two moments are ever the same; each breath we take is different from the last, every moment in our life, the only constant through all infinity is change. We exist in a constant state of flux, from the smallest microbe to the largest Galaxy. Our bodies are changing with every second, our mind changing with every thought, our soul growing with every absorbed experience. Perception denotes the individual’s experience of change, for those who embrace it, their life is constantly filled with adventure, with each day bringing new opportunities for growth, with each door closing allowing for a new one to open, and as such change is a joyous experience. Constantly Helping Advance New Growth Everyday Resistance to change is one of the biggest contributors to stress, and as such assists in the blockage of new energy, thus holding on to the past which we have outgrown, will always result in restricting the flow of future positive experiences. As with all forms of energy, the greater the resistance, the slower the flow, and the main cause of resistance is FEAR. By focusing our minds on the possible negative outcomes of change, rather than being open to new possibilities, we keep ourselves in transitional limbo. The process of changing from one state to another can be difficult, but once achieved we usually adapt well to our new circumstances and rebuild our perception from a new standpoint. By the process of resistance we hold ourselves in the transitional stage, which is actually more painful than previous or future experiences; there is an old Chinese saying that “a clay pot is always a clay pot until it has been through the fires of the furnace, whence it becomes fine porcelain” Resistance is comparable to being stuck in the furnace, the process of change has been initiated and we enter the furnace of life, at this point if we let go, the journey should take its course and in a short period we emerge out the other side. Resistance is the process of trying to run against the conveyor belt and as such, we remain stuck in the fires. I have personally been through this process many times, and became an expert in conveyor belt running for a number of years. Ultimately the outcome will always be the same once the process of change has been initiated, we cannot run in the flames forever and it is really our own personal choice as to how long we run. Surrender to the natural currents of change is our only real option, thus allowing a smooth transition through the furnace, bringing new beginnings and opportunities into our lives. | |
